Schmoyer and Wine are both on the Logistics Committee of the Midlands Heart Walk and have helped put on the walk since its inception eight years ago. Schmoyer also serves as President of the Board of Directors for Communities in Schools of the Midlands, a local non-profit agency helping at-risk kids succeed in school and prepare for life. Controne serves on the Executive Board and is Treasurer of the Family Shelter, a Columbia charity that provides emergency food, shelter, and supportive services to homeless children and their families. The firm also budgets community service time for all employees as part of their jobs, to encourage and enable them to give back to the community.
