If you are from Columbia (or any surrounding area in South Carolina) and need sports gear, many people's "go-to place" is Todd and Moore Sporting Goods.  Their quality products wholesome image help them to compete with larger corporations such as Dick's Sporting Goods and Play it Again Sports.  Todd and Moore is a local business that has earned success year after year through local support and patronage from customers like you.

Sometimes small businesses such as Todd and Moore get crowded out by the big industry giants in their retail sector, but Todd and Moore proves that with loyalty, and a high level of customer service, people keep coming back for not just their products, but the overall feeling the loyal and knowledgeable staff gives consumers when they enter this humble establishment.

My great-grandfather worked at Todd and Moore when it first opened and my great-grandmother Moore sewed letters on the letterman jackets with her own two hands. This kind of attention to detail and loyalty to excellent customer service has not gone out the window since the store's start on Main St. in 1953.

In 1969, Todd and Moore moved to Huger St and now has another location in the northeast side of town. The two owners of the local corporation, Chuck Todd and George Moore, have used their interests and knowledge in sports to form a retail genius that is unique and personable to anyone who needs sports gear, serving as a "specialist in sports."

Many of the local schools buy their sports equipment from Todd and Moore because they have gained trust and formed relationships with T & M over the years. My grandfather has worked at Todd and Moore since he graduated from USC, and travels to many schools representing Todd and Moore supplying student athletes with the equipment they need to enhance their performance.

Despite the downtrodden state of our economy, Todd and Moore remains successful and holds their own against the big industry giants because of their local culture and personable atmosphere. They sustain excellent customer service and quality products that keep them not only the Midland's "specialist in sports," but also the Lowcountry's and the Upstate's.
