Blood Drive to Take Place at Columbia Conference Center

COLUMBIA, SC - July 29, 2010 - Columbia Conference Center, Research Associates, The Evaluation Group, and DuBose Web Group will host a blood drive on July 29, 2010, located at the Columbia Conference Center facility at 169 Laurelhurst Avenue, Columbia, SC 29210.

The blood drive is a joint effort of the Community Service Committee at the family of companies and the American Red Cross. Donors from Hampton Automotive and other companies in the Westpark office area will also give blood during the event, which will take place from 10 AM to 3 PM. “Our family of companies is dedicated to giving back to the community and this is another way our dedicated staff can help,” said Mike DuBose, owner of the DuBose family of companies. In 2008 and 2009, Columbia Conference Center donated all profits to local schools and charities as part of the companies’ mission to improve lives. The Community Service Committee was formed in 2008 and has since donated its time and resources to activities such as food and household item drives, river sweeps, at-risk teen mentoring programs, and reading to elementary school children.
