COLUMBIA, SC - September 2, 2010 - The South Carolina Small Business Chamber of Commerce (SCSBCC) has launched a "BuySC" campaign through its new website.  The "BuySC" campaign will encourage businesses and individuals to buy from local and South Carolina-owned small businesses in order to grow our state and local economies.

"The economic benefit of keeping our dollars in our state and local economies is great," said Frank Knapp, Jr., president and CEO of the SCSBC. "The money churns through our economy many times creating even more demand for our goods and services resulting in job creation."

The "BuySC" campaign will feature www.BuySC.org, a section of the new SCSBCC website that will allow South Carolina small businesses to be listed by county and by type of business.  Businesses will be encouraged to offer discounts to those finding them through the website. The SCSBCC will promote visitors to the "BuySC" page through its membership and social networking efforts.

South Carolina-owned businesses can learn more about the "BuySC" campaign by calling 803-252-5733 or e-mailing sbchamber@scsbc.org.
