Columbia-Richland Recruit Firefighters Graduate

COLUMBIA, SC - September 1, 2010 - Interim Fire Chief Aubrey Jenkins announced today that the Columbia-Richland Fire Department will have 15 additional Probationary Firefighters after they have completed their training and certification on Friday, September 3rd. The graduation ceremony will be held at the South Carolina Fire Academy (141 Monticello Trail) in the Denny Building at 6:30 p.m.
The Recruit Firefighters joined the Department on May 17, 2010 and will complete a16 week CFD recruit school and will have successfully
completed certification programs that place them in the fire service as Nationally Firefighters I and II. These men and women will be serving
the City of Columbia and Richland County in the many fire stations throughout the fire department.
