USC Thursday Game Traffic Patterns

COLUMBIA, SC - September 2, 2010 - Motorists are urged to be aware of the change in traffic patterns due to the University of South Carolina v. University of Southern Mississippi football game on Thursday, September 2nd. 

The Columbia Police Department Traffic Unit will begin the change in traffic patterns at approximately 3:15 p.m. and start the reverse traffic patterns at the beginning of the third quarter. 

The streets that will be affected are the same as on a Saturday game, but in particular the length of Assembly Street and any cross streets with Assembly Street and streets in the vicinity of Williams Brice Stadium.  Drivers are urged to take caution, expect heavy traffic and possible delays. There will be officers at intersections to assist with traffic flow before, during and after the game.
