“The support we are receiving of the new brand and what we do for Columbia is phenomenal,” said Ric Luber, president/CEO of MACST.  “The community has really taken Famously Hot and created their own spin on it to satisfy their marketing needs and that’s more than what we could ask for.  We are really pleased at the community’s response to the campaign,” Luber said.

The Midlands Authority for Conventions, Sports & Tourism launched the marketing campaign in August, 2008 to attract meetings and conventions, sports groups, and leisure visitors to Columbia.  The campaign is built on Columbia’s greatest assets—its happening nightlife, sizzling cuisine, and fiery music and arts scene.  The new campaign slogan is used in all MACST communication vehicles that promote Columbia including the Columbia CVB, Columbia Regional Visitors Center and Columbia Regional Sports Council marketing efforts and collateral materials.

The marketing campaign was developed with the assistance of ADCO, a Columbia-based strategic, creative and interactive agency along with regional partners and stakeholders.
