Cayce Calls on Amateur Photographers for Contest

COLUMBIA, SC - March 2, 2010 - The City of Cayce is looking for a few great photos -- 12 in fact -- of life in Cayce for its 2010-2011 Citizens’ Calendar. The photographs should feature locations in the city or Cayce residents as its subject matter, but the contest is open to amateur photographers from all over the state.

“We are looking for photos that demonstrate why Cayce is such a great place to live,” said City Manager John Sharpe.

Photos must be in color and should be submitted as an 8”x10” image with name of photo, name of photographer, and completed registration and release form, which are located on the City of Cayce web site (http://www.cityofcayce-sc.gov.).


The deadline for entry is Friday, May 7, 2010. The grand prize winner will receive $100 cash prize and have his/her photo featured on the calendar’s cover. An additional 11 photographs will be selected for inclusion in the calendar and those contestants will receive Reflections of Cayce poster and a Cayce t-shirt.
