The Ambassador of the Year is defined as someone who best exemplifies outstanding ethics and responsibility of influencing the promotion and preservation of the Greater Columbia area. This designation goes to someone who serves as a role model for business involvement in the community and has contributed to the image of the Greater Columbia area. Previous Ambassadors include Dr. Andrew Sorensen, Bill Boyd and Hootie and the Blowfish.
Apple currently serves as the Chairman and CEO of First Citizens Bank and Chairman, President and CEO of First Citizens Bancorporation of South Carolina, Inc.
