CBRE|Columbia Closes the Sale of 500 Huger Street

COLUMBIA, SC – October 19, 2012 – CBRE|Columbia is pleased to announce the sale of the former CMC Construction Services Warehouse at 500 Huger Street. Keith Moore represented the purchaser, Arnold Realty Company, in the transaction.

This property completes the property assemblage for the new “state of the art” student housing project that will serve as a gateway to the University of South Carolina. The project will be located at Blossom and Huger Streets. This parcel adds 1.6 acres to the development, bringing the total development site to 4 acres.
“We believe this development will transform the area around Tanner Stadium from traditional industrial use to one better suited to support USC’s burgeoning campus of classrooms, sports facilities and student housing needs,” said Keith Moore.
