Frank Martin, New Men’s USC Basketball Coach, Spoke to St. Andrews Rotary Club

COLUMBIA, SC – September 5, 2012 - On March 27, 2012, Frank Martin began his first season as the head men's basketball coach at the University of South Carolina after five highly-successful seasons as the head coach at Kansas State. There he mentored the Kansas State Wildcats to five postseason appearances, including four trips to the NCAA Tournament that was highlighted in 2010 by a remarkable run to the Elite Eight.

Martin, a long time high school basketball coach and school teacher prior to his time as an assistant coach at Northeastern, Cincinnati, and K-State, has mentored four All-American basketball players and numerous All-Conference honorees during his career.  Martin is a native of Miami, Fla., and a 1993 graduate from Florida International University.
