Twenty-eight Students Receive Scholarships From Home Builders Association Charitable Foundation

COLUMBIA, SC - July 26, 2012 - Over the past twelve years, the Charitable Foundation of the Home Builders Association of Greater Columbia (HBA) has awarded $317,500 in scholarships to children of HBA members who meet criteria set for the program.  On July 19, 2012, the HBA Charitable Foundation presented $39,000 to 28 students.  The scholarship program is funded by annual events, including the HBA Golf Classic and through private contributions to the Charitable Foundation.  Congratulations to the following HBA Charitable Foundation Scholarship recipients:

The HBA of Greater Columbia Charitable Foundation, Inc. was incorporated under S.C. law in 1993 under bequest from the HBA of Greater Columbia, which provided the initial funding.  The foundation was established for the purpose of providing assistance to those less fortunate, or otherwise deserving, for the betterment of the community.  The Foundation accomplishes its purpose by assisting individuals, programs and organizations in need.
